Western Pocono Women's Club continues to help the West End

The Western Pocono Women's Club is devoted to helping the West End community.

At the April meeting, it was reported that so far in its calendar year, it has donated:$300-Western Pocono Community Library; $300-Meals on Wheels; $200-Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network; $200-Effort United Methodist Church; $100-Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co.; $100-Pleasant Valley High School Chem Free Graduation party; $200-Equilibrium; $100-Salvation Army; $100-Salvation Army; $100-Monroe County Women's Resources; $100-Sun Valley Vol. Fire Co.; $100-West End Vol. Fire Co.; $100-Polk Township Vol. Fire Co.; $100-Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder; $100-Kids for Hunger.

Effort UMC prepared 80 Easter baskets for local families.

WPWC donated 400 lbs. of potatoes, 40 cans of cranberries, 34 cake mixes, 42 cans of frosting, 17 cans of gravy and a total of 213 items.

Member Beth Larson and her mother, Shirley Fowler, donated 160 rolls of toilet paper.

The Coupons for the Military committee reported they clipped and sent coupons worth $23,359.67 in April.
