State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a scattering of rubbish incident that occurred in Carbon County.

Troopers said unknown criminals dumped a truck load of insulation along Drakes Creek Road, at the mailboxes for Rhodo Mountain Estates, in Unionville, Penn Forest Township, about 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.

Troopers said a smaller type U-Haul truck was scene fleeing the area.

Two persons were also seen and described as follows: a thin white male, about 40-years-of-age, and a white female, also 40ish with dark wavy blonde shoulder length hair, about five-feet, two-inches tall, with medium build.

The two attempted to dispose of the insulation at the Penn Forest Township Transfer Station about 1:28 p.m. but were turned away because the insulation was construction material. They then left that area and were seen dumping it at the above stated location.
