Burning violation leads to more counts

A Hometown man discovered that open burning when a burning ban is in effect can be costly.

Rush Township police were dispatched to Lafayette Avenue for reported smoke. On scene they found Darin Saladigo, 29, who had an open fire at his residence. During the investigation officers also discovered a small amount of marijuana and a pipe.

Saladigo was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating an ordinance prohibiting open burning.
