"Unguarded" star to speak in Lehighton

The Lehighton Area High School is taking the opportunity to host Chris Herren, star of ESPN's award-winning documentary Unguarded, to speak to the community and students in an attempt to further the efforts of the Drug and Alcohol Taskforce on Thursday, May 17th at 7 p.m. and Friday, May 18th at 9 a.m.

The Thursday, May 17th presentation will be held in the High School Auditorium and is open to the public. Tickets for the event are currently available and can be purchased at the following locations: Valley Athletic Supply located in Lansford, Mauch Chunk Pharmacy located in Jim Thorpe, Mallard Markets located in Lehighton, and the Lehighton High School main office.

The May 18th presentation will be held during the school day for all Lehighton H.S. personnel and students. Herren, a former All-American and NBA player, who lost it all due to addiction, began again with a new dream. Herren now travels the country speaking to students and communities about the destruction caused by Drug and Alcohol addiction.
