Three vehicle crash in Schuylkill

Published March 29. 2012 05:01PM

State police at Frackville reported investigating a three vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Wednesday, March 27. The accident occurred about 11:31 a.m. at the intersection of state routes 895 and 443, in East Brunswick Township.

Troopers said James A. Hiller, 68, of Trout Run, Lycoming County, was eastbound on 895 and attempted to make a left turn onto 443. He failed to observe a vehicle operated by Susan A. Marcero, 65, of Hazleton, who was westbound on 895 and approaching the intersection. Marcero's 1997 Ford Windstar struck Hiller's 2010 Ford Fusion.

The force of the impact pushed the Fusion into a 2003 Subaru Outback driven by Barry Lee Siple, 67, of Schuylkill Haven. Siple was stopped for a stop sign.

Marcero sustained a minor injury to her left wrist, troopers said, while Hiller, Siple and his passenger, John C. Premich, 57, of Schuylkill Haven, were all not injured. Marcero refused medical treatment.

Damages were disabling to the Fusion and Windstar and minor to the Outback.

New Ringgold Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.
