Regional extended trout season starts Saturday

The trout season begins earlier in southeastern Pennsylvania counties and designated waterways crossing into these counties. Anglers have marked spring's arrival for decades by the opening day of trout season. And, in these regions, trout season arrives early starting at 8 a.m. this Saturday. Two weeks later, Saturday, April 14, the 2012 trout season opens throughout the rest of the state at 8 a.m. - and the regular trout season is then open 24/7 statewide.
