An Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at the Haney/VanBuskirk Park on Anchorage Road in Saylorsburg. Rain date is Saturday, April 7.

Helpful 4-H club
The Harvest for Health Garden Club seeks boys and girls, ages 8-18, who are interested in gardening. Youth will learn about plants, soil nutrients, garden planning, planting and more.
The community service component of the club will be to plan, plant, and harvest vegetables for the Garden of Giving in McMichaels, Chestnuthill Township, a non-profit organization that grows and donates fresh produce to local food banks.

Free fishing permits
Free fly fishing permits on the McMichaels Creek are available for Chestnuthill and Jackson township residents. One must prove residency and have a valid Pennsylvania fishing license.
The program is possible through an agreement with the Pohoqualine Fish Association allowing day permits.
Touch of Home
Operation:Touch of Home will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, at the American Legion Post Home in Gilbert.
Pleasant Valley School District Kindergarten registration is under way through April 13.
The PTO for Chestnuthill School is scheduled to meet Tuesday, April 3.
Palm Sunday services
Effort UMC will host Palm Sunday services at 8:30 and 11 a.m., Sunday, April 1. A banner procession will be part of the services.
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will hold a Vigil at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 31, and Mass at 8 and 10 a.m. and at noon on Palm Sunday.
A 30-hour famine, beginning at 9 a.m. on Good Friday at Our Lady Queen of Peace, is an opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to become aware of hunger throughout the world. It will also benefit the parish's free community Sunday Supper.
The famine will end with a full breakfast on Holy Saturday. Registration is due today, March 28.
