Break-in, theft incident probed

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary, theft, and scattering of rubbish incidents occurring in Monroe County.

A barn and shed on the property of John Lee Woodling, 21, of Stroudsburg, and located about five-tenths of a mile north of Jackson Township municipal building along SR714, was entered via a rear door being forced open.

Removed from the barn were vehicle parts valued at $5,300. The incident occurred sometime between March 21 and 24.

Zijad Tosic, 38, of 503 James Rd., in the Sun Valley development, in Effort, Chestnuthill Township, reported someone removed a Murray lawn mower valued at $1,000 from his property. The theft occurred sometime between March 18-24.

Troopers are also probing a scattering of rubbish incident that occurred along Stoney Brook Road, in Jackson Township. Unknown persons discarded about 10 old cans of paint along a three-tenths stretch of road. The cans were located on the west side of the road. The incident occurred sometime between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, March 23.
