Vavra named Big Ten Swimmer of the Year

Former Panther Valley swimmer Alyssa Vavra has been voted Big 10 Swimmer of the Year. The award was voted on by the Big 10 conference coaches.

Vavra has been piling up the hardware of late. She recently earned three All-American Honors by posting top eight finishes in the 200 IM, the 400 IM, and the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Championships last weekend.

Last month, Vavra was Swimmer of the Meet at the Big Ten Championships

Vavra is a seven-time All-American at Indiana and holds six school records.
