Four enter guilty pleas to DUI; are sentenced in Schuylkill
Four defendants entered guilty pleas Wednesday afternoon in Schuylkill County court to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol charges and were sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell.
John R. Lesniak, 23, of 19 W. Lehigh St., Summit Hill, was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) probation program.
He must serve the first 10 days of his sentence in the county prison to begin Friday, April 6, and is eligible for the work release program. When released the he will serve the balance of his six months sentence on probation. He also must pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, a fine of $750, complete the alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 20 hours community service, and his driver's license is suspended 12 months. Lesniak was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse, last May 28.
Lawrence Petrole, 51,of 346 W. Blaine St., McAdoo, was placed in the Schuylkill County Restrictive Intermediate Punishment (SCRIP) program to serve probation for 60 months, pay a fine of $2,500, pay $100 to the SAE fund, attend safety school, perform 20 hours of community service and his driver's license is suspended 18 months. On a summary charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic he was fined $25 plus $50 costs.
Petrole was cited Rush Township Patrolman Corey Herring, last July 1.
Joshua Massing Beemer, 23, Orwigsburg, was sentenced to serve the first 15 days in the county prison followed by six months on probation in the IPP, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $300 to the SAE fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, perform 20 hours of community service, and his driver's license is suspended 12 months.
Beemer was cited by Orwigsburg Patrolman Brandon K. Bayer, last Aug. 12.
Brent Christopher Reber, 28, Schuylkill Haven, was placed on probation for six months, pay a fine of $300, pay $100 to SAE fund, attend safety school, perform 20 hours of community service. On a summery charge of failing to drive on a roadway laned for traffic was fined $25 plus $50 costs.
Reber was cited by Trooper Mark W. Knock when stopped on Glenwood Road in North Manheim Township last June 21.
Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
