A Carbon County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, along Lyon Valley Road in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County. It was one of two crashes reported by state police at Fogelsville.

Troopers said Jose A. Martinez Jr., 20, of Lehighton, was operating a 1986 BMW 325 westbound when he lost control. The car traveled into the oncoming lane and struck a reflective plastic post along the south berm. The car continued off the eastbound lane then traveled back across the westbound lane and onto the north berm where it struck a tree with the driver's side and came to rest in a field.

Martinez was not injured. Troopers cited him for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.

Troopers investigated a three vehicle crash about 11:48 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, along SR100 near Claussville Rd., in Lowhill Township.

Troopers said identified the drivers and vehicles as Zarah E. Beishline, 34, of New Tripoli, driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee; Ronald P. Weber, 57, of New Tripoli, driving a 2003 Mercedes-Benz S500; and Susan E. Lavelle, 58, of Coopersburg, driving a Volvo S80.

All three were southbound when Weber and Lavelle came to a stop behind a vehicle turning left. Beishline failed to stop and hit the rear of Weber's vehicle pushing it into Lavelle's car.
