Domestic incident leads to charges

A domestic incident in Monroe County led to the arrest of one person for assault and the second has drug charges pending.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, they responded to 8871 Coyote Drive, A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna, for a domestic assault.

Upon arrival police learned that Souad Houmina, 29, was allegedly assaulted by Justin Wiley, 28, both of that address. While at the residence police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia belonging to Houmina.

Wiley was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.

Police said drug charges are pending against Houmina.
