A Jim Thorpe woman has been charged with one count of criminal mischief.

Borough police said on Feb. 5 about 12:04 a.m. they went to 421 North St. for a report of criminal mischief. At the scene they were told by Matthew J. Nicosia, who resides in an apartment at that address, that he had an argument with Siobhan T. Carasso, 50, of 421 North St., Second floor, during which she allegedly threatened to break all the windows in his apartment.

He told police later he was walking home and heard glass breaking. He then observed Carasso leaving in her vehicle in a hurray. Upon investigation Nicosia said he found a side window of his apartment had been smashed.

Police then spoke to Carasso, who denied any wrongdoing. Officers they spoke to Thomas J. Martino, who is the owner of the property, who said he would press charges. Police then filed the charge against Carasso.
