Vavra medals again at NCAA championships

Indiana University's Allysa Vavra earned her third medal of the NCAA championships on Saturday, finishing in eighth place in the 200 breaststroke. Vavra qualified for the A Finals with a seventh place finish in the prelims.

Vavra, who is a Panther Valley High School graduate, was eighth in the 200 IM on Thursday and fifth in the 400 IM on Friday.

Also on Saturday, Kristen Shickora of the University of Georgia qualified for the B Final in the 200 backstroke and finished in 12th place overall.

Shickora, who is a Marian High School graduate, earned an eigth place medal on Friday in the 100 backstroke.
