Local dealer steps up to bat for youth baseball, softball
In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, Rentschler Chevrolet is supporting Northern Lehigh Softball through the Chevy Youth Baseball and Softball Program.
This sponsorship will include both monetary and equipment donations during the Spring 2012 youth baseball season.
Chevy Youth Baseball and Softball is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve. Rentschler Chevrolet is sponsoring Northern Lehigh Softball as a part of Chevrolet's nationwide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time.
Over the course of the season, Rentschler Chevrolet will donate equipment to the league, including equipment bags, softballs, catcher's gear, batting helmets, ball buckets, umpire's equipment, coach's kits, break away bases, bat racks and first aid kits.
In addition, each sponsored league will take part in the "Chevy Youth Baseball and Softball Double Play Giveaway" which is a fundraiser that can earn each league $10,000. The "Chevy Youth Baseball and Softball Double Play Giveaway" features a Grand Prize of the All-New 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, along with other great prizes such as HD Televisions, courtesy of the local Chevrolet dealership.
Also, thanks to Rentschler Chevrolet and other participating area Chevrolet dealers, youth baseball and softball participants will have a chance to attend a youth clinic with a local professional baseball team.
"We are looking forward to a great season with Northern Lehigh Softball that will be filled with exciting games and an enhanced experience for the teams through the equipment and cash donations" Greg Williams, of Rentschler Chevrolet, said. "Chevy Youth Baseball and Softball is just one example of how committed our dealership is to supporting the youth and families in our community."
The 2012 program will provide assistance to 364 leagues in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute over $600,000 in monetary and equipment donations.
