An arrest has been made in a Jim Thorpe theft incident that occurred last year.

Borough police said on Nov. 10, 2011, about 7:30 p.m. officers were called to 924 Laurel St., for a theft report.

Upon arrival police were informed by Laurie Getz three rings were missing from her home, two of which belonged to her and one that belonged to Dean J. Dibonifazio, of Weatherly.

Getz also informed police that she believed that her daughter's friend, identified as Jordan Alese Grammes, 18, of 84 Parker Mew, Albrightsville, may be responsible for the thefts.

Through a further investigation police discovered that the rings had been pawned at the Time Will Tell business in Lehighton by Grammes on three separate occasions.

Numerous attempts were made to speak with Grammes, however, she refused to speak with police.

On Feb. 23 police charged Grammes with two counts each of theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property, and one count of theft by deception.
