Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 8:39 p.m. on Friday, March 9, along SR4030, just west of Girardville, in Butler Township.

State police at Frackville said James Cress, 26, of Girardville was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the barracks for a breath test. The test showed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent, troopers said.
