DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers over the past weekend.

On Saturday, March 3, about 6:34 p.m. troopers stopped James Gerard Downing, 55, of Palmerton, along Forest Inn Road, at Fireline Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. Charges will be filed.

Also on Saturday, about 8:38 p.m., troopers stopped Donald Glenn Minnich, 48, of Allentown, along SR248 westbound in Palmerton for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence. He was also found to have in his possession drug and drug paraphernalia.

At 10 p.m. Saturday troopers stopped Jeremy Wayne Dorshimer, 45, of Palmerton, along Pohopoco Drive at Trachsville Hill Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. Charges will be filed.

At 1:07 a.m. on Sunday, March 4, troopers stopped John Peters, 42, of Kunkletown, along Gilbert Road, at Long Mountain Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a vehicle code violation. He was also found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.
