Tamaqua senior to singnational anthem at Hershey

Tamaqua Area High School senior Emily Zancofsky has been selected by the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) to sing the national anthem on Thursday, March 8 at approximately 4 p.m. prior to the PIAA 3A wrestling state championships at the Giant Center in Hershey. Emily, who routinely sings the anthem at most Tamaqua High School athletic events and playoff contests, said, "She has also sang prior the Schuylkill League, District XI and PIAA State playoff basketball games at Martz Hall in Pottsville." Emily was nominated by Mike Hromyak, Tamaqua Athletic Director, to sing at the wrestling championships. She is the daughter of Tony and Lynn Zancofsky of Tamaqua.
