Lehighton 9/12 Project to attend rally in D.C.
The Lehighton 9/12 Project is coordinating a bus trip to Washington D.C. on Tuesday, March 27, as part of a national protest against Obamacare.
The "Hands Off My Healthcare Rally" is being coordinated for Americans for Prosperity.
Sandy Dellicker, president of the Lehighton 9/12 Project, said, "Almost two years ago Nancy Pelosi marched across the Capitol lawn with her giant gavel in hand to ram through the single most worst piece of legislation in the history of this great nation. You and I know it as Obamacare."
She noted that the Lehighton 9/12 Project was involved in town hall meeting and marches on Washington in the past to oppose the voluminous legislation. Despite the opposition, the bill was passed.
Dellicker said the March 27 rally is being considered the last stand against Obamacare, with the rally beginning at 1 p.m.
On the day of the rally, Congress will be in session, the Supreme Court will be actually holding their last day of hearings on this case and the media will be there.
Dellicker said, "The Tea Party is alive and well and we will not go down without a fight,"
Bus reservations are limited. The cost is $10 per person.
