Some people really know how to stave off the winter blues.

That's certainly been the case at the Village at Palmerton, according to Norma Kunkel, director of marketing and admissions.

"To break up the monotony, directors of all departments cooked lunch table side dishes for the residents," Kunkel said. "After much good natured teasing, they all tucked in to a tasty meal."

Kunkel said two residents helped knot a handmade quilt, which when finished, will be displayed in the community to commemorate all the hard work.

The residents also keep themselves busy with activities such as exercise, crafts, and games, Kunkel said.

The Village at Palmerton is a personal care home that offers it's seniors a variety of social and individual activities to keep them happy and healthy.
