Teen cited with off-road vehicle

A Tamaqua teen has been cited after he was observed operating an off-road vehicle on the streets of Tamaqua.

An officer was on patrol at 7:29 on Feb. 28 when he observed a Suzuki Quad Runner being operated down the middle of Broad Street in the area of St. Jerome's Church. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Broad and Hunter streets and the operator identified as a 14-year-old male. The vehicle is reportedly owned by Jarrod Bowman, 25, of 415 N. Railroad St., Tamaqua

The vehicle was impounded.
