Members of the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue (TAAR) are looking for a new location to house their equipment and temporary housing kennels and are seeking public help.

The equipment is currently located on the grounds at the Tamaqua sewer plant located on Sewer Plant Road.

President Sue Schafer stressed the importance of owning TARR owning its own land, as to better receive assistance and to provide better care for the animals.

To volunteer, donate or for more information about the TAAR, visit them on Facebook or call Schafer at (570) 527-6808. Donations can be mailed to: Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue, 16 Schuylkill Avenue, Tamaqua PA 18252.
