Diakon Community Services for Seniors distributed 350 farm market vouchers to eligible Schuylkill County older adults inside the Tamaqua Community Center (Mohn Building) recently. Diakon Community Services for Seniors is administering the 2012 Senior Farm Market Nutrition Program through the Schuylkill County Senior Community Centers. A program of the state Department of Agriculture, the Senior Farm Market Nutrition Program issued "Farm market vouchers" to eligible older adults. "There are a limited number of vouchers available and all distributions will be made on a first-come, first-served basis," said Kathy Leahy of Diakon Community Services for Seniors.
