Published June 20. 2012 05:02PM

Charges are pending against a Tamaqua man who fled from police early Monday, June 18, following a traffic stop.

Anthony Pascoe, 26, of 230 Green St., was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped by police, in the 100 block of Greenwood Street at 1:23 a.m. A records check indicated Pascoe was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Schuylkill County Adult Probation. Pascoe then attempted to flee on foot but was stopped when officers used a Taser.

He was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on the warrant. Additional charges will be filed by borough police.
