Speed stop leads to wanted person

A speed stop by officers of the Pocono Mountain Regional police led to the arrest of a wanted person.

Officers stopped a Dodge pickup truck about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, along Long Pond Road for going 60.9 miles-per-hour in a 40 zone. The driver was identified as Michael P. Kudelin, 53, of Marshalls Creek.

A routine check revealed Kudelin had an active warrant for his arrest issued out of Old Bridge, N.J. Kudelin was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending extradition to New Jersey.
