Homeless man cited in Lansford
Ricky Lee Brown, 42, who has no known address, faces charges from an incident which took place on June 12 at 11:45 p.m. in Lansford. Charges of persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were filed by Officer Joshua Tom. Brown was arraigned and committed to prison.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, officers Joshua Tom and Jeff Ohl were on duty when a call came in concerning an intoxicated male yelling and causing a scene at 264 W. Patterson St. They went there, and identified the man as Brown. He was sitting in a black vehicle, getting ready to leave the area with a female driver.
Tom advised Brown about the complaints police had gotten about his yelling and alarming the neighbors. Brown was advised to keep the yelling down.
A short time later, police received another call about an intoxicated man, yelling and alarming neighbors in the area of Center and West Patterson streets.
They arrived to find it was Brown, who was lying on a bench. Brown started yelling and shouting obscenities at Ohl and Tom.
They arrested him for persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Police tried to find a place for Brown, who said he is homeless, to stay for the night.
