John Provisiero, 18, currently lodged in Carbon County Prison, faces charges from an incident which took place on May 1 at 4:41 p.m. at 430 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct were filed by Officer Robert Shubeck.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Shubeck received a report from a woman who said said her car had been vandalized while parked at the Lansford Mid-Rise in Space #2, close to the wall adjacent to the 400 block of East Kline Avenue. She said she had discovered the damage over the weekend of June 10-12. Police had had other reports of criminal mischief as well.

Shubeck photographed the damage dents in in the passenger side rear door, rear quarter-panel the roof. An insurance estimate tallied the damage at about $2,500.

During the course of his investigation, Shubeck, along with Det./Sgt. Jack Soberick, interviewed Provisiero, who admitted having thrown cans of food and other items from his home at 411 E. Kline Ave. into the parking lot where the woman's car was parked. He said he could hear the items hitting the car, and police recovered some of them from the parking lot.
