Rockin' Rescue Day planned for Lehighton Park to help animals

Rockin' Rescue Day will be held Saturday, July 14, from 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Lehighton Park, both upper and lower areas will be filled with vendors, animal rescue and shelters will be on hand with pets available for adoption and information for the betterment of all animals. There will be music all day, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., ReHab X, dance, pop and rock; 1 ti 2:30 p.m., Senile Delinquints, classic rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s; 3 to 4:30 p.m., DJ Donald F. Neff, Alter Ego, playing all the music you grew up with; 5 to 6:30 p.m., Waiting for Katie, all the great hits form the Classic Rock era; 7 to 8:30 p.m., Bee's Knees, Beatles, 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Jukebox Cruisers Car Show begins at 1 p.m. There will also be a Chinese auction, bake sale, raffle for a trip to Cancun, resources, crafters and micro chipping by Amazing Grace.

The event benefits Carbon County Friends of Animals Animal Cruelty Fund.
