A total of 91 sixth, seventh and eighth grade Tamaqua Area Middle School students held a Hoops For Hearts contest, in which students raised funds while enjoying basketball-related activities.

The students raised a total of $4,085 for the American Heart Association.

The top three "players" in the contest - seventh grade students Zeke Wassell, Josh Derrick and Adam Melnick - were featured in a previous edition of the TIMES NEWS.
