Monroe man jailed

Published June 14. 2012 05:01PM

A Monroe County man was jailed earlier this week after police found he had an active warrant for his arrest, after he was being charged with public drunkenness.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to the parking lot of the Shop Rite in Mount Pocono about 6:55 p.m. on Monday, June 11, for a report of an intoxicated male.

On scene officers identified the suspect as David Bidden, 57, of Pocono Summit. Witnesses told officers Bidden attempted to get into a vehicle but they took the keys away from him because he was highly intoxicated. It was also reported he fell several times prior to police arriving.

Bidden was taken into custody. A routine check revealed that Bidden was wanted in Bucks County for a parole violation. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant.
