Black Diamond Writers' Network speaker to discuss grant-writing basics

Stephanie Beavers, professional editor and certified grant writer, will be the guest speaker at the June 16 Black Diamond Writers' Network meeting.

Held at the Tamaqua Public Library, the meeting will run from 10 a.m. until noon, Saturday.

The library is located at 30 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua.

Beavers will share her knowledge and expertise about the basics on grant proposal writing to help nonprofit organizations and professionals craft proposals that will capture and hold the attention of funding organizations.

Owner of "Stephanie J. Beavers ... Refining Your Written Image," Beavers provides writing, editing, proofreading and other services to businesses, students, and individuals.

She volunteers with the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador Committee and the NEPA Chapter of SCORE.

Saturday's meeting will be followed by a brief critique session for those interested in sharing some of their work or a roundtable discussion.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
