Two arrested in act of stealing copper

Two Monroe County residents were arrested in the act of stealing copper.

State police at Fern Ridge said the owner of 707 Westbrook Rd., in Chestnuthill Township, who was not identified by troopers, arrived at the property, which is located in Sun Valley, and observed two persons rolling a spool of copper down the front lawn. He confronted the two and told them to remain there as he had called police.

The two remained on scene and were arrested. They were identified as Austin Gleeson and Karen Posa, both of Chestnuthill Township.

Both were charged wtih burglary, theft and criminal trespass.
