After two years of study and evaluation, Lehighton Police Chief Lionel Cote said today he is reorganizing the police department "to increase productivity and provide better service to residents of the borough." Under the plan, Officers William Kunkle and Dennis Wentz will be in charge of investigations. Paul Szoke will become the night shift supervisor and other members of the nine-man department will work rotating shifts. Foot patrols will be conducted from 4 p.m. to midnight, especially in the downtown area.
