A power line failure Sunday along Route 895 knocked out electrical power to 1,400 PPL customers in West Penn Township.
The lights went off at about 5:30 p.m. and power was restored to all customers by 10:30 p.m., said PPL spokeswoman Martha Herron."One of the lines failed in the vicinity of Troxell Road on Route 895. We had 1,400 customers out of service for one and a half hours," she said. "We were able to transfer the load of those customers to another line. The remaining 370 customers on the line were without service for four hours."
