Second grade student Nathan Miokovits, 8, of Hometown, was recently treated to his very own fire company parade for providing the best career essay in his class.

Members of the Hometown Fire Company surprised him by having four Hometown fire trucks pull up in front of his house and then treat him to a ride back to the station for a tour of the fire house and fire trucks. He was also given a pizza party with friends.

In his essay project titled, "What you want to be when you grow up?" Miokovits of course chose to be a firefighter.

Nathan is the son of Steve and Jenna Miokovits. Bryce is the son of Susan and Bruno DeAngelo.
