Carbon County Democrats for Change holds pot luck picnic

Carbon County Democrats for Change will hold their Annual Pot Luck Picnic on Sunday, June 17, 1-4 p.m., at the Big Creek Grange, 275 Grange Road, Lehighton, off Pohopoco Drive near Beltzville State Park.
"The public is invited but reservations are requested," said Club President, Linda Christman. "Burgers, hot dogs, a vegetarian entrée and drinks will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share."
Candidates expected to attend this annual event include: Attorney Matt Cartwright, Democratic candidate in the 11th Congressional District; Tim Seip, Democratic candidate for the PA Senate in the 29th District; Ron Rabenold, Democratic candidate for Representative in Pennsylvania's 122nd District.
"In addition to having an opportunity to meet and get to know our Democratic candidates, there will be live music as well as Karaoke with Helen, activities for the kids and a Ticket Auction," Ms. Christman continued.
The area covered by CCDC includes all of Carbon County. Regular meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through May, 7 p.m. at the Inn at Jim Thorpe. Annual Dues is $1/yr.
While this is CCDC's culminating event before the summer break, members are invited to help staff the new Carbon County Democratic Headquarters at 110 S. First Street in Lehighton during the summer months. Newcomers are welcome.
