11 from area graduate from Alvernia Univ.

Eleven area residents were among the members of the graduating classes at Alvernia University, Reading, on Saturday, May 12.

The commencement was held in the Sovereign Center's Reading Eagle Theatre.

The local students who graduated are:

Regina Lynn Sofsky-Casella, Tamaqua, master of education degree.

Elyse Boczkowski, Mahanoy City, bachelor of arts degree in behavioral health studies.

Kelli Marie McIntyre, New Ringgold, bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice.

Rochelle Ann Jones, Barnesville, bachelor of arts degree in elementary education, magna cum laude.

Melanie Lea Schrader, New Ringgold, bachelor of science degree in business accounting and finance, summa cum laude.

Amanda Christa Houser, Tamaqua, bachelor of science degree in accounting.

Bryan Keith Falcone, Brodheadsville, master of education degree.

Cory Lee Marques, Walnutport, bachelor of arts degree in elementary education, cum laude.

JoLynn Marie Shelton, Summit Hill, bachelor of science degree in business administration, magna cum laude.

Amanda Rose McGettigan, Tresckow, bachelor of science degree in chemistry, cum laude.
