Vandals strike in Coaldale

Published July 30. 2012 05:03PM

Coaldale police are studying videotapes of two males spray painting gang signs and vulgarities on cars, garage doors and Christ the Redeemer Church in the borough.

The boys defaced the cars and buildings between 1-1:30 a.m. Saturday, said Police Chief Tim Delaney.

Most of the cars were on East Phillips Street; two of the cars were on Howard Avenue. The church is on Third Street.

Delaney said the videotape is being enhanced to better identify the boys.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call police at (570) 645-3060.
