Weissport Councilman Arland Moyer and borough worker Pete Pywar parked vehicles and placed flares on White Street to prevent someone from coming in contact with a downed cable wire. Moyer said that he had called Blue Ridge Communications and alerted the company about the problem, but were parking vehicles on the roadway to protect drivers from hitting it and causing further damage. The storm on Thursday night was the likely cause of the downed wire.
