Game Two is suspended

Published July 27. 2012 05:01PM

Heavy storms forced the Franklin Township Hurricanes to wait another day to try and capture this year's Keystone Senior Babe Ruth League title. Yesterday's tournament title game was suspended in the second inning.

With two outs in the bottom of the second and with the host Pocono Mountain Outlaws at bat, the homeplate umpire brought the Hurricanes after spotting ligtning in the background. The game was tied 1-1 and will be continued tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Big Pocono State Park.

The Hurricanes, who hold a 1-0 game lead in the best of three series, scored a run in the top of the second inning. Dan Dailey got the game's first hit off Outlaws starting pitcher Dylan Transue. Dailey moved to third base on two straight walks to teammates Darren Wannamaker and Mike Hickey. Dailey scored on a passed ball.

The Outlaws tied the game at 1-1 when Transue scored on a Tim Donadio fielder's choice RBI.
