Two charged with theft at store

Two Monroe County residents were arrested for retail theft at a Schuylkill County store.

State police at Frackville charged Charlene A. Fairbanks, 39, of Tannersville, and David c. Crames, 19, of Henryville, following an incident that occurred about 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24. The incident occurred at the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township.

Troopers said the two removed clothing and perfume from the store without paying for it. They were stopped by store security.

Fairbanks was arraigned before on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville. Bail was set at $10,000, 10 percent and she was committed to the county prison for failure to post it. Cramer was issued a non-traffic citation and released.
