Tamaqua driver facing DUI count

A Tamaqua driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 6:05 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, along Wildcat Road, in Walker Township.

State police at Frackville said Nathan M. Zelinsky, 22, was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo eastbound, a tenth of a mile west of Reynolds Road, and rounding a left hand curve when he lost control.

The Jeep left the road on the north side and struck an embankment then rolled over onto tis roof before coming to rest.

Troopers said Zelinsky showed signs of intoxication and was transported to a Pottsville hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending, troopers said.
