Free open stage event in Tamaqua

Published July 25. 2012 05:01PM

Members and volunteers of the new Tamaqua Community Arts Center are holding a free open stage tomorrow at the center, 125 Pine Street.

The event, hosted by volunteers Jack Kulp and Kathy Rimm, is free to both spectators and performers. Volunteers encourage all ages and levels of talent to participate.

Sign-up starts at 5:30 p.m., and the show lasts from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Organizers stressed that this is not a karaoke event, and performers are asked bring their own instruments with one mic being provided.

Members recommend small amps and small drum kit and to bring nothing bigger than 2 x 12 combo and or five piece drum kit with high hat & cymbals.
