Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and theft incidents.

The break-in occurred at the residence at 7612 Meixell Valley Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Entry was gained through a unlocked side door. Once inside the criminals went upstairs and through several dresser drawers. Nothing was apparently taken, troopers said.

The home is owned by Gracey Ashely Drewes, 21, of N.Y. The incident occurred sometime between July 14 and 22.

Troopers said Heidi Silliman, of Hahns Dairy Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, reported a Tom Tom GPS unit was removed from her vehicle while parked at her residence. The theft occurred sometime between July 22-23. The item was valued at $100.

Clarence Getz, of 323 White St., Weissport, reported several pieces of scrap metal was removed from his property sometime between July 13-18.
