Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Frackville reported investigating a burglary and theft incidents that occurred at Schuylkill County locations.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Rose Ann Vigna, 76, and Joseph Michael Vigna, 49, at 2 S. Pine St., Kelayres, Kline Township. Entry was gained through a rear kitchen window by sliding open a screen.

Once inside the criminals removed money and other items. Entry occurred sometime between 7:30 and 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 22.

Troopers said the unlocked cars of Patricia Patton, 48, and Ryan Gutsie, 24, both of Plantation Drive, Barnesville, Ryan Township, were entered. The cars were parked in the driveways of the victims. Removed from the Patton vehicle was $20 in change. Taken from the Gutsie vehicle was a wallet with credit cards and about $20 in bills. Entry occurred sometime overnight of July 22-23.

Mark Dangiolini, 30, of 27 Pattersonville Rd., Ringtown, reported someone fraudulently opened a credit card account in his name and charged $599 worth of items to it at a Wal-mart store in Rochester, N.Y. The incident occurred between April 10-22.

Troopers are also probing a criminal mischief incident. Patrick Hollywood, of 12 N. Valley St., New Philadelphia, reported someone damaged the door on his garage by striking it with a blunt object.
