Road rage incident being probed

A road rage incident in which two women sustained injuries, is being probed and four suspects are being sought. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred along Jonas Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.

According to troopers Jacalyn Cady McLeennan, 22, of Perkiomenville, Montgomery County, and Kristin Joy McLennan, 30, of Effort, were stopped by another vehicle at the above stated location and time.

One male from in the other vehicle exited it and approached the victims in their vehicle yelling at them. He then punched Jacalyn McLennan in the face three times through the open window. He then pulled an unknown type object from his pocket, opened the driver's door and struck the passenger, Kristin McLennan, in the face about two times. He then got back into the vehicle and fled on Saturn Road.

Troopers said a female was seen outside the suspect vehicle at the time of the incident.

The male who assaulted the two females was described as being a stocky white male, short white hair, wearing a white tank top. The female seen outside the car was described as being white, blond hair, very thin build, wearing a white skirt. The driver of the suspect vehicle is believed to be a white male with short hair. A fourth person in the vehicle was believed to be a female.

The suspect car was a Chevrolet Cavalier, red in color.

Jacalyn McLennan sustained a bloody nose, a bruise to her forehead and a cut to her chin. Kristin McLennan was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance for further evaluation.
