State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two crashes probed on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 7:57 a.m. on June 29 along Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in Washington Township. Troopers said Matthew J. Nickerson, 27, of Ashland, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire westbound when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed both lanes of travel and went onto the shoulder striking the guide rail. After impact the car went off the rail back into the westbound lane and stopped.

Nickerson was not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.

A one-vehicle mishap occurred about 3:36 p.m. on Friday, July 6, along SR183 in Wayne Township. Troopers said Judy A. Mack, 59, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry northbound and failed to negotiate a left curve. The car went onto the east berm where it struck a utility pole. After impact with the pole the car traveled down an embankment and came to rest.

Mack sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by medical personnel. The road was closed for about 30 minutes.

Troopers cited Mack for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
