Oklahoma man charged with rape

An Oklahoma man was has been charged with raping a young girl at a residence in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville have charged Alexander G. Leshko, 40, of the 200 block of Fir Avenue, Elgin, with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, and six counts each of unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of a minor, indecent assault and indecent exposure.

Troopers alleged during a time frame of June 15 to 23 he entered the room of a 16-year-old female, also from Elgin, at 234 Haddock Road, Kline Township, while she was sleeping on numerous occasions and touched her inappropriately.

Troopers said Leshko was interviewed and admitted that he had touched the victim on numerous occasions and he had forced her to touch him.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
