Around 6:30 a.m. today, Rush Township Police and PennDOT were called the intersection of SR309 and SR54 in Hometown for a report of coal and dirt on roadway. Police detoured traffic away from the larger piles while PennDOT responded. Over the past year, this intersection has been the site of numerous coal/dirt spills. Anyone with information concerning this morning's coal/rock/dirt spill is encouraged to call Rush Township Police at (570) 668-4242.
